Two University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts faculty members performed abroad during the summer of 2026. Scot Humes, DMA, and James Boldin, DMA, attended and performed at international conferences after being selected through a competitive application process.
The US Air Force Band of the West will present a free performance in Monroe on Friday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Brown Auditorium at the University of Louisiana Monroe. The concert is the final of five dates the band has played in East Texas and Louisiana. These shows feature the exceptional talents of the nation's finest Airmen musicians.
The ULM Jazz Ensemble invites families to its first-ever Jazz for Kids concert, "Jazz 4 Kidz -- Music for the Young at Heart," on Wednesday, April 22, 20226, from 12:00 pm. to 1:00 p.m. in Brown Auditorium, 4001 Desiard St. on the ULM campus. Admission is free and open to the public. This 50-minute program is crafted to engage young listeners and introduce them to America's original art form: jazz.
